Dr. Heller had “Unconventional Wisdom: Estimating the Economic Impact of the Democratic and Republican National Political Conventions” accepted for publication in Papers in Regional Science. The paper, which has received coverage in the Cleveland Plain Dealer, U.S. News and World Report, and other media outlets, is co-authored with Victor Matheson of Holy Cross and Professor of Economics Frank Stephenson.
Dr. Stephenson’s “Bootleggers, Baptists, and Beer Labels” was recently published in Regulation and the article was also quoted in the Chicago Tribune.
Dr. Englis was honored with the Nikos Award for Excellence in Entrepreneurship Research and Practice at the 15th Anniversary Celebration of Nikos at the University of Twente in The Netherlands.
Dr. Clement was a visiting professor at Spice Mountain College in Beijing in July. She taught a graduate course for school principals titled, “Classroom, Program, and Schoolwide Assessment.”
Dr. Clement presented “A Dozen Things Successful Teachers Do” at the National Educators Rising Conference in Phoenix in June. She published “Why Combating Teachers’ Stress is Everyone’s Job” in The Clearing House (both online and in print) and “Women, Teaching, and Stress: Five steps for coping” in The Delta Kappa Gamma Bulletin Collegial Exchange.
Dr. Borer and student Michelle Carver presented “The Georgia seaside alder: conservation challenges and opportunities” at the Botanical Society of America and partner societies annual conference in Fort Worth, Texas, June 25-28, 2017.
